Quorum is software which runs as a phone conference server on any Windows PC. Callers dial into the server to join telephone conferences.

Callers can connect to a conference call using either standard or VoIP lines on external telephone numbers or through an office phone system. The number of people who can join a conference call is limited only by your bandwidth.

When the caller selects the option to create a new conference Quorum will assign and read back the unique and secure conference number. The conference creator then gives this number to each conference participant. Whenever any person dials the server and enters this conference number, they will join in the current conversation with the other members of the conference.

To connect to phone lines you need one of the following

A telephone number with a SIP based VoIP service provider.
A VoIP based office telephone system try the Axon PC PABX.

The User registration is unrestricted except that you cannot load any announcements that are not recorded on the same computer that is running the IMS. The User registration is intended for inhouse messages or music.

It works as a virtual intercom and feels a little like using a CB radio. To talk to anyone else who has installed OfficeIntercom anywhere in the world, just hold down a key on the keyboard. Speak into your computer's microphone and you will be heard through the other computer's speakers.

You can assign systemwide 'hot' keys, or use hardwired buttons or a SpeechMike handset to connect directly without opening OfficeIntercom. For security or privacy, OfficeIntercom can also encrypt the voice with private key strong encryption.

OfficeIntercom is designed to be fast and easy to use. For quick questions within a workplace, OfficeIntercom is a much more efficient communication system than dialing telephone calls or typing and sending email. It saves your phone bills and, in an office environment, no further cabling will be required to run OfficeIntercom because it uses the existing network.

Note OfficeIntercom uses a pushtotalk system. This makes calls faster and saves bandwidth.

Connects SIP Protocol VoIP calls to the Skype network
